Camera, prescription, battery and everyday wear — the specifics on Lucyd Lyte, our audio-only flagship.
No. Lucyd Lyte has no camera and no display. It’s audio-only smart eyewear — open-ear speakers, dual noise-reducing mics, and a Bluetooth connection to your phone. There’s nothing to record, so there’s nothing to explain to a coworker, client, or student sitting across from you.
Lucyd Lyte detailsYes. Lyte has no camera and no display, so there’s nothing to record and no screen competing for your attention in a meeting. The open-ear speakers play toward your ear without covering the canal, so you still hear colleagues and the room normally, and the dual mics turn on only during a call or a voice-assistant request.
Yes. That’s the design goal — no visible camera, no chunky temples, no obvious electronics, since the audio hardware is built into the arms. Lyte ships in frame styles such as Darkside, Eclipse, and Voyager, so most people can’t tell you’re wearing anything but glasses until you take a call.
Most Lyte frames support prescriptions from SPH -3 to +8, including single vision, progressive, bifocal, and reader lenses, though the exact range varies by frame. Lens options include clear, blue-light filtering, Lucyd Shift photochromic (auto-tinting), and sun or polarized tints. Add your Rx at checkout; custom lenses ship in up to 10 business days from our ITFIT lab.
Prescription lens optionsUp to 12 hours of active use as tested — audio playing, calls happening, or your voice assistant working — on a single charge. Standby lasts much longer. A full charge takes about 2 hours on the Lucyd magnetic dock, enough to take you from your morning commute through an evening workout.
Yes. Lyte uses open-ear directional speakers, so audio plays without covering your ear canal — you hear your music or call and the room around you at the same time. Dual noise-reducing mics keep your voice clear, and they turn on only when you’re on a call or talking to your assistant.
