Through our previous climate partnership with Ecocart, we have removed nearly 250,000 pounds of Carbon Dioxide from the environment.


We're now partnering with Shopify Planet to provide carbon neutralization of every shipment - at no cost to the customer. It's an important part of our mission to upgrade the world's eyewear.

Here’s how our new carbon-neutral shipping works: For every order we receive, we use a formula to calculate the estimated shipping emissions. Based on those estimates, a portion of our revenue goes to carbon-removal companies vetted by scientists from Carbon Direct. Those companies use that money to remove the amount of carbon our shipments create. 

Any extra funds go toward further development of carbon-removal technologies.Heirloom’s direct air capture technology enhances the carbon-mineralization process. It speeds up the rate at which naturally occurring minerals capture CO₂, instead of using energy-intensive fans to pull air in.
