10 Musicians Who Make Glasses Look Good

10 Musicians Who Make Glasses Look Good

Musicians have long been known for their cool vibes and fashionable appearances. Something that is worn by someone fabulous or wickedly cool can quickly come into vogue across the world.

So we’ve made a list of the top glasses-wearing musicians who have made their own pair of frames iconic across space and time. Over the last century, these are the musicians who really made glasses look good.

1) John Lennon

John Lennon is a legend for many reasons, but it is his glasses that made his look so iconic. These small round-framed glasses took the world by storm after Lennon made them his go-to. These days, even though The Beatles had a ten-year career and remain famous till this day, it’s the glasses-clad Lennon that we picture when we recall this epic band.

2) Bono

The lead singer of the band U2, Bono is known for sporting a broad range of glasses. Tinted lenses, round frames, and teardrop aviators are some of the most common denominators in his glasses choices. But Bono is always changing it up and keeping his look fresh, which makes him one of the coolest Musicians in glasses.

3) Janis Joplin

One of the most well-known and influential rock and roll singers of her time, Janis Joplin made quite a number of things fashionable. But one of her most enduring style statements was her oversized, round, and tinted glasses. She was an eclectic dresser, and these sunnies just completed her look perfectly.

4) Elvis Presley

Another of the most famous rock and rollers of all time, Elvis could make anything look cool. When he wasn’t showing off his baby blues, he was sporting tinted teardrop aviators. These often had gold frames. He is the king, after all.

5) Buddy Holly

This cheerful-looking singer made his thick-framed wayfarers famous when he became a pioneer in rock and roll in the 1950s. Buddy Holly actually started his career opening for one of the other stars on this list  - Elvis Presley. We suppose that style recognizes style.

6) Elton John

Talking about style, Elton John has had some seriously iconic looks over his long and illustrious career. From feather boas to bejeweled everything, Elton certainly knows how to make a statement. And so it comes as no surprise that his glasses make a statement too. Elton has no specific favorite form, as long as they’re funky. Bejeweled, bedazzled, heart-framed, red-tinted - he always keeps it interesting.

7) will.i.am

As one of the more contemporary faces on this list, it comes as no surprise that will.i.am knows how to make glasses look stylishly cool. From light, colored tints in round frames to thick-framed wayfarers, will.i.am uses a number of different styles to complete his ensembles.

8) Stevie Wonder

This pioneer of music is known for his excellent work in blues, pop, soul, jazz, and funk. But while all of those accomplishments are incredible, it’s his glasses that we just can’t get over. As a blind musician, Stevie Wonder isn’t held back by the “can I wear sunglasses at night” argument - he can do exactly as he pleases. And it makes us wish we could, too, because his dark-tinted sporty glasses and browline frames always look awesome.

9) Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson, the ‘King of Pop’, showed us just how cool the aviator could look. He often sported reflective and dark lenses, giving him some privacy from a very attentive world. Later in his life, he even made small prescription glasses look cool.

10) Ozzy Osbourne

This English singer from the legendary rock band Black Sabbath has always had a very cool look. Long dark hair, a little eyeliner, and round-framed tinted glasses make his face one of the most recognizable in the rock world. Much like the other incredible musicians on this list, we couldn’t imagine this legend without his legendary frames.
